Around 16 or 17, Everett showed signs of an illness that would follow him for the rest of his life. This illness would sometimes take his life over. He would hear voices that would speak to him and tell him things and at other times, Everett would be his old self once again. Right before all of this began, Everett gave his heart and his soul to God and invited Jesus into his life and was Baptisted at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Webb City Missouri. I was so thankful for that day, for I knew that no matter what else, my son would end up in Heaven with his Grandfather that he loved so much.
